Memorial meetings took place in Myanmar, Thailand, Pakistan, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Austria and Finland from July 5 to 7 on the occasion of the 30 th anniversary of the demise of President Kim Il Sung .
Speeches were made at the meetings attended by personages of political parties, parliaments, organizations and institutions, members of the Juche idea study organizations and friendship and solidarity organizations.
A member of the Central Executive Committee of the Myanmar Journalist Association said that even today the world progressives still remember President Kim Il Sung , the elder statesman in the 20 th century, as his exploits are so great.
The Chairman of the Organization for the Study of the Juche Idea of Thailand, the Chairman of the Thailand-DPRK Friendship Association and the President of Thailand-DPRK Parliaments Friendship Group stressed that President Kim Il Sung is still alive in the hearts of the world progressives and his exploits will shine forever in human history.
A senator of Pakistan and personages of the Pakistan Awami National Party and the Pakistan National Party praised President Kim Il Sung as a peerlessly great man whom the Korean people greeted and held in high esteem for the first time in the national history spanning thousands of years, an extraordinary ideological theoretician, a peerless statesman and a prominent leader recognized by the world peoples.
The International Secretary of the Finnish Communists’ League, the Chairman of the Ostfold County Committee of the Communist Party of Norway, the Chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association, the Chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association and the Secretary General of the Society for the Promotion of the Relations between Austria and DPRK said that President Kim Il Sung is a peerless patriot and great revolutionary who dedicated his whole life to the country and people, a genuine internationalist who made a great contribution to the cause of global independence and a state leader who was ardently revered by the international community.
They expressed their invariable support and solidarity with the DPRK people in their struggle, stressing that the DPRK people would surely build a socialist power under the leadership of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un .
Messages to respected Comrade Kim Jong Un were adopted at the memorial meetings in Denmark and Sweden.
