Such memorial events as memorial meetings and seminars on exploits were held by the Soviet peace fund of Russia, the Maritime Territorial Branch Committee, the Khabarovsk Territorial Branch Committee and the Amur Regional Branch Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the All-Russia Lenin Young Communist League and the Association for the Study of the Juche Idea in Tynda City and at the Far East State Science Library on July 7 and 8 on the occasion of the 30 th anniversary of the demise of President Kim Il Sung .

Speeches were made at the events attended by personages of the Russian government, political parties, parliament, organizations and institutions.

The chairperson of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, a member of the Federation Council, the chairperson of the Korean War Veterans’ Council and the chief of the International Solidarity Group with the DPRK said that President Kim Il Sung was an outstanding leader and genuine father of the people, who devoted his all to the prosperity of the country and well-being of the people, a statesman who remained unfazed by any difficulties and a peerlessly great man recognized by the world.

The exploits of the President who provided the historic roots of the relations between Russia and the DPRK are now being carried forward and developed on a new stage under the deep concern of the top leaders of the two countries, they noted.

The first secretaries of the Maritime Territorial Branch Committee, the Khabarovsk Territorial Branch Committee and the Amur Regional Branch Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation said that the whole life of Comrade Kim Il Sung is a noble example of ardent revolutionaries and genuine internationalists and his august name as the greatest man, prominent state activist and peerless statesman who ushered in a new era of the dynamic struggle of mankind against the colonial oppression by the imperialists will be deeply cherished in the minds of the world people.

Personages of the Central Committee of the All-Russia Lenin Young Communist League and the Association for the Study of the Juche Idea in Tynda City said that Comrade Kim Il Sung is a peerless patriot, hero of the century and prominent leader of the cause of independence against imperialism, hoping that the DPRK will achieve great successes in bolstering up the defence capability and building the economy under the seasoned leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un .

Messages to the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un were adopted at the memorial events held by the Amur Regional Branch Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and the Association for the Study of the Juche Idea in Tynda City.
