The Korean Central News Agency released a commentary under the title "Not the 'Right to Self-Defence' but the 'Right' of Massacre and Plunder".
The commentary said:
In the vortex of the constantly expanded war in the Middle East, the Israeli authorities announced some time ago that they would confiscate 12.7 square kilometres of Palestinian land on the occupied West Bank of the Jordan.
Israel not only approved the huge plan on expanding the settlements deep into the West Bank of the Jordan and legalizing a number of illegally built settlements, but also made a gangster-like assertion that the boundary region between the Gaza Strip and Egypt should be under its control even though disputes in the strip are terminated.
Nearly 40,000 civilians were killed by the indiscriminate attack of the Zionists and many people have to leave their dear home villages. This reality shows that the "right to self-defence" advocated by Israel is none other than the "right" of massacre and plunder.
As the plunder of territory was openly committed again on the theatre of bloody massacre, it was clearly proved that the massacre and destruction perpetrated by Israel and its greatest supporter--the United States--on the Gaza Strip under the pretext of the exercise of so-called "right to self-defence" and "defence" are an act of national obliteration and forced demolition to drive the owners out of Palestine and occupy its territory.
In actuality, the "right to self-defence" itself is paradoxical for Israel, disturber of the regional stability and occupationist who has fattened itself by merging the territories of Arab countries including Palestine with the methods of sanguinary aggression and massacre all the time and viciously hindered the founding of the legitimate Palestinian state.
While talking about the UN Charter and international law on the national self-determination, the United States and the West continue to connive at the most vicious act of the Zionists to seize territory. It is an acme of double standard and a tragedy of the modern world.
The reality governed by the law of the jungle according to which one with weak fist has to wipe one's bitter tears with it calls for fully consolidating the invincible self-defence capacity, the root of the existence of our state and a fundamental guarantee for its everlasting development, the commentary noted.
