Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Denounces U.S. Commenting on Sino-Russian Cooperation in the Arctic

Of late, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson clarified the following stand regarding the Pentagon report on enhanced Sino-China cooperation, military and commercial, in the Arctic:

China is consistently participating in the Arctic affairs and enhancing cooperation with each party in accordance with the main principles of respect, cooperation, co-prosperity and sustainability. China is also directing her efforts to preserving peace and stability and promoting sustainable development in the Arctic.

American misinterpretation of China’s Arctic policy and faultfinding with China’s regular activities that are consistent with the international law do not help peace, stability and cooperation in the Arctic.

China strongly opposes such acts.
