Amid the implementation of the new programme of rural revolution of the Workers’ Party of Korea gaining momentum, farmers are moving into new houses in different rural villages of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea including Sinsi-ri, Chonma County and Jangsan-ri, Ryongchon County, North Phyongan Province. Such auspicious events continue to take place almost every day.
Such news has already become commonplace to the local people.
At the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth WPK Central Committee held in December 2021, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un put forward an important policy of making all rural villages across the country on a par with those in Samjiyon and turning them into rich, civilized ideal socialist villages.
He took all necessary measures to build farmhouses so that the new rural revolution programme can take effect without delay. He examined over 2 000 designs related with the rural housing construction.
Meanwhile, the DPRK law on supplying cement to cities and counties was instituted and the “pictorial collection of 100 types of dwelling houses” complied.
On November 14, 2022, Solbong Farm in Kosan County, Kangwon Province, became the first to witness more than a hundred modern, cultural dwelling houses of different types built to suit the regional characteristics. A little more than a year after, over 25 600 flats embodying modern civilization were built in many rural villages.
Agricultural workers at Samgwang Livestock Farm affiliated to North Phyongan Provincial Rural Economy Committee received new houses with due ceremony, the first of its kind this year. House-moving ceremonies have since been held in more than a hundred farms.
Up to now since 2022 similar events have taken place in about 510 farms and peculiar modern dwelling houses have sprung up in different parts of the country under the benevolent care of General Secretary Kim Jong Un who intends to preferentially provide the farmers with a happy and civilized life, regarding them as unassuming true patriots who faithfully support their socialist country. Seeing the houses, the Korean people speed up the struggle for the prosperity and development of the country with a firmer conviction in the hopeful future.
