Recently, increase in crimes committed by hired Swedish teenagers is creating quite a stir in Denmark.
Several media reported about Danish criminals recruiting Swedish teenagers to commit all sorts of crimes.
According to Danish broadcaster TV2, Danish criminals are luring and recruiting Swedish teenagers with 300,000 to 500,000 kronor (approx. 28,500 to 47,500 USD) to execute shootings in Denmark.
Danish broadcaster DR reported that only recently, two Swedish teenagers were remanded in custody, suspected of having been involved in shootings in Copenhagen and other regions.
The police announced that they were recruited by criminals through social media to carry out serious shootings.
Danish police recorded 21 cases of gang-related shootings involving Swedish teenagers in 2023, with four deaths.
The media reported that Swedish “child soldiers” were involved in 25 criminal incidents in Denmark since April, and 6 of these Swedish youth were arrested for serious violent crimes.
Apart from this, an 18-year-old Swedish woman and a 22-year-old Swedish man were arrested in Copenhagen on 17 July for weapons and drug possession with a view to resale. On 31 July, a 16-year-old Swedish youth was arrested after a shooting incident.
On the same day, a 17-year-old Swedish youth was remanded in custody on suspicion of attempted gun-related murder, and a 24-year-old Swedish youth was also remanded on 6 August for causing an explosion in a kiosk with a hand grenade.
Danish media reported that criminals choose to hire teenagers in Sweden as they are often shielded from prosecution and face lower punishments if caught. They utilize this and seduce teenagers on social media, being promised money for everything from spying and committing vandalism to violent acts and murder.
