Main Attitude and Traits of Secretaries of Primary Party Committees

The 2nd Conference of Secretaries of Primary Committees of the Workers’ Party of Korea was held with splendor in the capital city of Pyongyang in February, 2022.

The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un attended the conference and made an important conclusion "Secretaries of Primary Party Committees Should Become Genuine Political Workers of the Motherly Party."

In his conclusion, he noted that it is the highest honor of the secretaries of the primary Party committees to serve the people with sincerity.

His words touched the hearts of the participants.

They looked back on their past days, asking themselves whether they played the role of mother and servant of the people as intended by the respected General Secretary.

Again, the voice of the respected General Secretary rang in their ears.

Urging them to be very humble before the people, regard it as their natural gift and the most worthwhile work to go through thick and thin and devotedly work to ensure the best convenience and life of the people, he said that to do so constitutes the main attitude and traits our Party now requires the secretaries of the primary Party committees to have.

His earnest teachings bore a request that all the secretaries of the primary Party committees should become genuine servants of the people making devoted exertions for the good of the people.

Qualities and Abilities Show Degree of Loyalty

In July two years ago, the respected General Secretary guided the special workshop for officials in the Party life guidance sections of organizational departments of Party committees at all levels of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

During the workshop, he arranged an evaluation test on political and business abilities of officials in the Party life guidance sections and extended congratulations to those who distinguished themselves in the test on behalf of the Party Central Committee.

He said that for them to have attained good results in the test consisting of many-sided questions shows that they studied regularly and steadily took in political pabulum.

He continued that as a tonic can prove effective when taken for a long period, so studying can bear fruits when done regularly and steadily.

For officials, it is a serious and important matter of deciding whether they repay the people’s expectations or are reduced to laggards of the times to intensify studying and acquire high abilities.

In his important speech at the special workshop, the respected General Secretary said it is the important work directly linked with the future-oriented development of the Party that the officials in the Party life guidance sections, who are the main force in enhancing the functions and roles of Party committees at all levels and improving the political and practical qualifications of Party officials and are at the position of organizing and guiding the Party life of its members, are well versed in the method and the principle of Party work peculiar to our Party and possess high political and practical abilities and qualities as befits a genuine Party official.

That day, he stressed that the officials’ qualities and abilities must be regarded as their responsibility for work and loyalty to the Party.

The officials kept in their hearts once again that great qualities and abilities of the officials, leading members of the revolution, are a fundamental requisite which enables them to remain faithful to the Party and leader and make devoted service for the country and people.
