The Cholryong Farm in Kosan County, Kangwon Province of the DPRK, has over-fulfilled the state grain production plan at 110 percent by raising the grain output 1.2 times the last year’s to surpass the peak-year level.
The farm gave effective agricultural and technical guidance to ensure full-yield while introducing advanced farming methods.
The irrigation system was further perfected, the rate of mechanization in farming raised and the crop manuring and cultivation meticulously done, which resulted in increasing per-hectare grain output by more than one ton on an average.
A year-end account settlement and income distribution took place held at the farm amid a lively peasant dancing party.
Pak Jong Ho, chairman of the Kangwon Provincial Rural Economy Committee, and officials of Kosan County congratulated the farmers and working people on over-fulfilling the state grain production plan.
