Date: 12/11/2024 | Source: Ministry of Foreign Affairs (EN) | Read original version at source

On October 26, Israel committed military attack against Iran. In this regard, the international community is raising their voice of criticism against Israel and the U.S., as the former is aggravating situation of the region by committing the aggressive acts against sovereign state, and the latter is actively supporting the former.

Russia, China, Cuba, Syria, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Pakistan, India, Egypt, Lebanon, Turkey and many other countries denounced Israel’s military attack against Iran as an infringement upon sovereignty and a breach of international law.

At an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council held on October 28, Russian representative stressed that Israel, under the patronage of the U.S. and political and arms support of its allies, is ignoring the demand of the international community calling for ceasefire.

Chinese representative also condemned Israel’s act of infringing upon sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iran and urged Israel to suspend all provocation.

On the same day, foreign minister of Saudi Arabia, in a phone call with Iranian foreign minister, denounced Israeli regime’s aggressive moves as an infringement of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iran and maintained that all regional countries should put efforts to de-escalate tension.

Group of Friends in Defense of the Charter of the UN and Non-aligned Movement issued a special communiqué and statement on October 30 and November 4 respectively to express firm solidarity with Iranian government and people, strongly criticizing Israel’s military attack as violation of the UN Charter and international law.

Such a voice of international community clearly proves that the U.S. and Israel are the main culprits for destroying peace and stability in the Middle East.
