A sure guarantee for regional economic development is being provided in line with the vigorous promotion of the “Regional Development 20×10 Policy.”
The policy makes it possible to provide powerful foundations and assets for the development of the regional economy.
Building modern regional-industry factories in 20 counties every year or all cities and counties across the country within ten years is part and parcel of the policy.
This is not aimed simply at reconstructing the existing factories and reinforcing the insufficient production lines, but an innovative undertaking to build completely new and advanced production and technical potentials ranging from designing to equipment upgrade and production line distribution.
In pursuit of this policy, the construction of modern regional-industry factories is making headway in 20 cities and counties planned to be completed this year. This provides a sure guarantee for the development of the regional economy.
Selection of another 20 counties where regional-industry factories are to be built next year is also going on.
The policy opens a shortcut to developing regional industries in a simultaneous, balanced, comprehensive, effective and unique way.
Dynamic efforts are channelled into making effective use of various wild fruits, edible herbs and medicinal plants in mountainous areas and conducting fish farming and aquaculture on a large scale in coastal areas. And substantial measures are taken to promote tourism and effectively develop and mobilize natural resources.
Those cities and counties where new regional-industry factories will be built are estimating the size, production capacity and building area of those factories in full consideration of their specific conditions, economic potentials, prospects for development and population, and training technicians and skilled workers needed for their operation in a far-sighted way.
Some earlier, measures were also taken to additionally build advanced facilities for public health, science, education, cultural activities and grain management.
Now the local people have turned out to implement the “Regional Development 20×10 Policy,” envisioning their better future.
