The 16th Pyongyang Autumn International Trade Fair on the theme of “For independence and friendship, common development and co-prosperity” took place between November 19 and 25 at the Central Youth Hall.
Presented to the fair were electric and electronic goods, machinery, building-materials, medicines, foodstuffs and other products with world competitive edge, which were produced by more than 160 businesses and companies of different countries, including the DPRK and Russia.
On display were many specialities and natural products from pollution-free mountains and rivers of the DPRK with beautiful landscape.
The Inphung Trading Company presented over ten-year-old wild insam, and its booth was crowded with many visitors. Koryo wild insam tea, Koryo wild insam extract and Koryo wild insam leaf tea were in great demand.
The Kumgangsan Speciality Production Company presented different teas of third-stage processing, including those made with mulberry mushroom, Ganoderma lucidum and matrimony vine fruit. These products preserve their characteristics and state and dissolve in hot water well.
The Taehung Trading Corporation presented fur products. They included tiger-patterned carpets made of dog’s fur and skin, and fur caps, mufflers, vests and coats made of various animals’ fur and skin.
Kumgangsan-brand cosmetics were popular with women. They were made with Kaesong Koryo insam which excels in medicinal substances worldwide, clear and clean water springing out from Mt Kumgang and extracts from over 30 kinds of natural foods by employing latest science and technology. They are so effective in skin elasticity improvement, whitening, wrinkle prevention and moisturizing that they help women look young and beautiful.
The Yehung Joint Venture Company created a lifelike environment with distinctive room and kitchen furniture pieces to highlight their characters and performance.
Medicines presented by various companies were also popular with visitors.
The Korea Oriental Instant Medicine Centre presented a medicinal stone for the treatment of neuralgia and arthralgia. It was made with pearl and various other natural medicinal stones by processing them with an advanced processing method.
During the exhibition there took place briefings on specialities and export products of the country including Jindallae mobile phone, Kaesong Koryo insam and Pukchong apple.
