Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, received a reply message from Thongloun Sisoulith, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and president of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (LPDR), on December 30, 2024.
In the message, Thongloun Sisoulith expressed sincere thanks on behalf of the LPRP Central Committee and the LPDR government and people and on his own behalf to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for having sent warm and good congratulations and best wishes to the Lao party, government and people and to him on the occasion of the 49th founding anniversary of the LPDR.
I feel great pleasure over the fact that the traditional friendship and good cooperative relations between the LPDR and the DPRK have been steadily developed and strengthened in recent years and express belief that the good relations between the two parties, two states and two peoples will continue to develop in depth and obtain greater results, bringing substantial benefits to the peoples of the two countries and promoting the cooperative relations for peace, stability and development in the region and the rest of the world, the message said.
On the occasion of the New Year 2025, I wish you good health and happiness and greater success in your noble and honourable cause, and the fraternal DPRK people sustained happiness and prosperity, it added.
