Over 50 housewives in the city of Kanggye volunteered to work at the honorable posts of the socialist construction.
Those of Uijin-dong and Unjong-dong in Kanggye City volunteered to work at the Uijin Farm under the Jagang Provincial Rural Economy Committee and the Unjong Vegetable Farm in Kanggye City.
Women’s union members of Oesan-dong and Ryu-dong volunteered to work at the Kanggye School Uniform Factory.
The meeting to congratulate the volunteers was held on Jan. 12 at the Jagang Provincial Art Theater.
Present at the meeting were Jon Yong Jae, secretary of the Jagang Provincial Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials in relevant sectors, women’s union officials and members in Kanggye City.
At the end of the meeting the provincial art squad members gave the congratulatory performance and officials and women’s union members encouraged the volunteers.
