Recently, the spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry slammed the sanctions imposed on Chinese businesses and citizens by the Treasury Department of the U.S. on charges of involving in the Salt Typhoon cyber-attack.
The spokesperson stated that the U.S. has, in fact, conducted a systematic and large-scale cyber-attack against China and China expressed concerns and opposition to them on several occasions.
The spokesperson mentioned that both sides should share each other’s concern with openness on grounds of concrete evidence in terms of safeguarding the cyber-security, notably the safety of the critical infrastructures, and observe the agreed-to global norms and jointly safeguard the peace and stability in the cyber-space.
The spokesperson concluded by stressing that the U.S. should stop its misdeed of recklessly abusing sanctions.
