Yesterday and Today Reflected in First Full Moon Day

On the eve of the January 15th of the lunar calendar, a folk holiday, the full moon rose over Rimhung Street which was built as a people’s ideal street.
From olden times our people have liked to enjoy the bright moon and used to pray their wishes looking up the moon.
As people know through the folk songs, the desire our people made on the moon in the past days was only to live without troubles even in three-room thatched house.
But they did not realize their such simple desires.
Our people finally could lead a dignified and happy life as masters of their destiny for the first time in the era of the Wokers’ Party, and today everyone is enjoying all blessings as creators and enjoyers of a new civilization and a new life under the eye-opening reality of the overall development of socialist construction.
It is just the image of our people today to live without envy in the world, full of confidence in today’s happy life and better future.
What is filled with all people’s hearts along with the first full moon day (January 15th of the lunar calendar) is the conviction and confidence that the future of the country will be brighter and the happiness of the people will be growing day by day under the wise guidance and warm care of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who is bringing the history of miracles and changes for the people.
Therefore, looking at the full moon in the sky of my country, our people wish ardently good health of the respected General Secretary who is making ceaseless efforts and devotion for the prosperity of the country and happiness of the people.
The first full moon day is a folk holiday for our people to remind them of the time-honored history and traditions of the nation, and serves as a significant holiday that implants in their hearts the hope and conviction that their future will be more beautiful and rosier, holding the General Secretary in high esteem.
