All the people in the DPRK are filled with joy and excitement at greeting the nation's greatest auspicious holiday, the birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il .
Youth and students in Pyongyang had a gala evening at Kim Il Sung Square on February 16.
The event began with the song “Let’s Sing of the General Dear to People.”
Its participants showed a sea of celebration dances to the tune of songs “Enjoying Spring on Jong Il Peak” and “Thunder over Jong Il Peak,” extending the highest glory to Chairman Kim Jong Il .
The square resounded with the songs representing the Korean people’s deep reverence for the great Workers’ Party of Korea Central Committee which is translating into brilliant reality the Chairman's patriotic desire for a powerful country.
The youth and students danced with joy and vigour, singing the “Hymn to Youth” reflecting the strong desire of the rising generation to glorify the motherland by devoting their youthful strength and wisdom.
The nocturnal sky over the venue, which grew lively with the passage of time, was decorated with beautiful fireworks, adding to the festive mood.
Colourful fireworks of various shapes were displayed as if they were an eruption of the unshakable faith and will of the patriotic Korean youth to record annals of steady progress and miracles in the development history of the dignified DPRK.
Songs “Let’s Love Our Country” and “We Will Defend General Kim Jong Un with Our Lives” resounded throughout the venue, conveying the participants’ firm pledge to become the youth heroes who glorify the Kim Jong Un ’s era of creation and changes, always and vigorously marching straight ahead following the great Party.
