DPRK Foreign Minister Sends Reply to Palestinian Foreign Minister

Comrade Choe Son Hui, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, sent a reply to H.E. Dr. Mohammad Mustafa, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine, on February 19, in regard to his letter informing about the rapid deterioration of the situation in the West Bank owing to Israel’s indiscriminate and reckless military campaign.
In the letter, Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui wrote that the recent development in the West Bank is causing widespread public outrage and concern as Israel is openly committing genocidal acts, ethnic cleansing and annexation under active U.S. patronage. She continued as follows:
The Gaza Strip and the West Bank are the inherent territory of the Palestinian people, as is clearly stipulated in UN resolutions.
Instead of delivering protection and humanitarian aid for the suffering Palestinians, Israel is brutally killing and forcibly displacing numerous civilians. It is a heinous crime against humanity that deprives the Palestinian people of their rights to existence and development.
We oppose and reject in the strongest terms all sorts of attempts to deny the Palestinian people’s rights to existence and development. We express our invariable support to and solidarity with the Palestinian people in their struggle to establish an independent state with East Kuds as its capital, and with Arab nations in their just efforts to seek a fair settlement of the question of Palestine.
