Recently, some U.S. Congressmen threatened and blackmailed Hong Kong government officials, law officers and prosecutors, proposing a so-called “Hong Kong Sanctions Bill” and providing what is called a sanctions list. In regard to this, the spokesperson of the Public Office of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region expressed strong discontent and disapproval.
