Recently the public health sector has developed a Koryo medicine distribution information system and introduced it to the Koryo medicine producers across the country.
The Ministry of Public Health has for years worked on keeping abreast of the amount of medicinal herbs produced across the country and the demand for them and ensuring the purchase and distribution of medicinal herbs in a unified way.
It has taken active steps to supply the Koryo medicine pharmaceutical factories with medicinal herbs according to their demands through medicinal herb management stations. In the course of this it developed a programme designed to share the information on distribution between the management stations and the pharmaceutical factories.
The development of the programme makes it possible for the ministry to get detailed information of the demand of the pharmaceutical factories and the medicinal herbs stored in the management stations and accordingly promote the production of medicinal herbs and Koryo medicines in a scientific and planned way.
Currently the Kangdong County Medicinal Herb Management Station and other producers rely on the system in securing a variety of medicinal herbs in a far-sighted way.
