One August day last year the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the construction site of regional-industry factories in Hamju County of South Hamgyong Province.
While looking round the construction site, he expressed satisfaction over the fact that the quality of construction is guaranteed at a high level and said that the industrial facilities springing up across the country from the first year of the regional industrial revolution are entities directly demonstrating the Korean-style civilization and development and that they in turn serve as a yardstick reflecting the whole of our conscience, ideal, exertion and fortitude, stressing that no slightest defect should be allowed in the creations that would go down forever as the wealth of the people.
He went on to say that, as he always stresses, a sure understanding that fundamental in construction is quality and that the tendencies towards failing to pay due attention to quality with focus on speed alone, however slight they are, are detrimental to the Party’s policy of regional construction should pervade the construction sites.
His instructions carry the deep meaning that each and every structure should be built at the best level so that they would remain impeccable even after 50 or 100 years, on the basis of the understanding that construction is a yardstick intuitively showing the level of the national strength and civilization and an important and worthwhile undertaking to implement the Party’s people-oriented policies.
The modern regional-industry factories were inaugurated with due ceremony on January 18.
