Universities and colleges in the DPRK are striving to make the online education more effective in a bid to train the talented personnel for the regional industry development.
The Online Education Faculty of Kim Chaek University of Technology is informing the students in advance of the lecture schedule for each subject in line with their growing interest in the real-time question and answer session, and directing much effort into its preparation.
The faculty is taking practical measures to help its teachers make adequate preparations in advance in a bid to give correct answers to the students’ questions.
Besides, it is supplementing the database with lecture videos for the students who fail to attend the question and answer session for unavoidable reasons.
It is updating the database with multimedia which gives necessary information on the basis of an automatic analysis of the students’ questions.
Meanwhile, it maintains frequent contacts with regional-industry factories so as to give lectures on their request on the basis of the understanding of what kind of knowledge and technology they need.
The Online Education Faculty of Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry is increasing the number of subjects and deepening the contents of lectures so that the students can acquire professional knowledge for their occupations.
The university has completed various multimedia on the working principles, features and operation processes of the equipment of the foodstuff factories in a short period.
In parallel, it is working on the teaching plans to disseminate and transfer the experiences and techniques of its teachers and researchers.
