Schoolchildren’s art performance “Let Us Always Be Ready for the Socialist Country” was given at the Pyongyang Municipal Youth Park Open-air Theatre in the DPRK on June 5 to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the founding of the Korean Children’s Union.
Among the audience were Choe Tong Myong, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Kim Su Gil, chief secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the WPK, Kim Jong Sun, department director of the Central Committee of the WPK, Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, Kim Sung Du, minister of Education, officials of the youth league, participants in the celebrations of the 79th founding anniversary of the KCU, members of the delegation of Korean schoolchildren in Japan and schoolchildren.
Put on the stage, which began with prologue “March of the Children’s Union,” were colourful numbers showing the bright and cheerful appearance of schoolchildren growing up to be reliable pillars of socialist Korea under the warm care of the motherly Party.
The performers impressively sang of the immortal exploits of the peerlessly great men who founded the KCU, valued and loved the schoolchildren most and trained them to be true sons and daughters of the country.
Male solo and chorus “We Are the Happiest in the World,” storytelling and song “Marshal Kim Jong Un Is Our Father” and national instrumental ensemble and song “Our Father Is the Best” reflected the warm admiration for the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un who spares nothing for the successful growth of the rising generations.
A brass quartet, a male chorus and other numbers were filled with joy and optimism of schoolchildren who give full play to their hopes and talents under the benefits of the most advantageous socialist educational system.
The performance, imbued with the firm determination of the KCU members to prepare themselves to be young revolutionaries and patriots boundlessly loyal to Kim Jong Un , ended with epilogue “Let Us Always Be Ready for the Socialist Country” and “Dash towards the Future with the Blessing of Marshal Kim Jong Un .”
