The Jangsan Mine has succeeded in producing superduty chamotte refractory bricks of high economic value.
To establish a line of producing chamotte refractory bricks with high-grade clay produced at its pits, the mine directed efforts to completing designing work and manufacturing equipment and devices as planned.
The technicians of the mine solved difficult technical problems arising in improving the technical specifications of the gas generator and establishing a power-free magnetic cobbing process.
The production line based on large-scale tunnel kiln depends entirely on the domestic technology, equipment and raw materials.
The bricks produced at the mine have been introduced into various units including the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex, proving that they help increase the working period between repairs markedly. The bricks can be effectively used also in production units operating furnaces like those in the chemical industry sector.
On the basis of this success, the mine is now working to manufacture a new kind of brick, which conforms to the global trend, by its own efforts.
