The Nutrient Liquid Fertilizer Factory under the Sunchon Chemical Complex increases production on the basis of its recently remodelled labour-, energy- and cost-saving production lines.
They introduced a new system fed by compressed air into the raw materials transfer process, the first process of the production lines, earning much economic profit.
According to the workers there, in the past the raw materials and liquid reactants were transferred by means of various pumps and a lot of power, funds and labour were consumed for the maintenance and operation of the equipment.
With the adoption of the new transfer system the labour and power consumption was reduced by one third and the transferring speed increased several times more than before resulting in considerable growth in productivity.
The system attracts the attention of many units as it can be applied to various sectors of the national economy such as chemical and foodstuff industries.
Besides, the factory introduced innovative ideas into different processes such as neutralization, enrichment and cooling, resulting in a tangible improvement in the productivity and quality of products.
In addition, they applied various new technologies including operational method of the neutralization reactor so as to reduce the time of reaction and maintain the cooling temperature for the operation of the processes by means of industrial water without using refrigerating compressor.
They also built the foundations for maintaining normal production without depending on imported raw materials.
The Kangdong Combined Greenhouse Farm, a giant vegetable producer, uses the nutrient liquid fertilizer to raise cucumber, lettuce, bok choy and other kinds of vegetables.
