Today, the rapid development of medical science brings about new changes in the clinical field.
With the introduction of advanced technology, the surgical sector relieves patients of their pains and raises the effectiveness in treatment with interventional therapy.
In recent years medical workers of the Angiography Treatment Department of Kim Man Yu Hospital have been achieving remarkable successes in their medical services.
Department Head Kim Ok Gyong said the angiography treatment is applied to almost all diseases in the domain of vasomotor surgery and continued:
"Our hospital has 40-year-long history for angiography. In those years, it diagnosed diseases of more than 500 patients by the examination of angiography every year, making a big contribution to cardio-surgery and cerebrovascular operation.
In the course, a great progress was made in the interventional therapy, too. In the past, valvular diseases of the heart were surgically treated by the method of cardiopulmonary bypass under general anesthesia. But we explored an easy method to treat them by angiographic image induction and also a method to operate for congenital heart diseases by the interventional therapy."
They have long intensified the research for establishing advanced method of treating blood vessel diseases.
They found a clue to new treatment method on the basis of latest technical literature and made repeated simulations.
They pooled their efforts, regarding it as their duty to make all the people fully enjoy the benefits of modern medicine.
At last, they succeeded in establishing the interventional therapy which doesn't depend on the surgical excision according to the constitutional characteristics of the people.
Not resting content with it, they solved problems of clinical technology important in the treatment of blood vessel diseases one by one.
In those days, more than 10 medical materials and appliances were developed and introduced into the treatment of cerebrovascular and cardiovascular diseases thanks to their devoted efforts.
On the basis of the successes, they enlarged the scope of treatment and completed a number of valuable operation methods one after another.
They keep directing efforts to the research for applying the interventional therapy to diseases of different systems.
