The Sunchon City Koryo Medicine Pharmaceutical Factory endeavours to produce efficacious traditional Koryo medicines.
To increase the variety of products and improve their quality, the factory has raised the level of modernization of production lines by installing a dozen of new pieces of equipment, introducing an automatic control system into the production lines ranging from feeding raw materials and filtering to extracting, and remodelling extracting equipment and boilers.
On the basis of this, it produces efficacious medicines like shell calcium pills and silymarin hepatitis tablets.
The main raw material of shell calcium pills is shells rich in calcium.
The factory has completed the method of manufacturing the medicine by adding health-promoting elements to shells, dubbed a composite of natural medicinal minerals.
An ideal calcium supplement, the medicine produces high effect on osteoporosis, arthritis, metabolic disorders, blood vessel system diseases, gynecological diseases, lumbago and tuberculosis. In particular, it strongly promotes the growth of children.
Silymarin hepatitis tablet is also highly efficacious.
The factory has overfulfilled its production plan every month in a bid to keep abreast of the growing public interest in and demand for Koryo medicines.
