Taedonggang is a floating restaurant frequented by the people.
What is impressive on the floating restaurant is to enjoy the view of Pyongyang being transformed day after day.
The double-decker vessel that can accommodate 300 persons at a time has dining rooms and a banquet hall laid out in a characteristic way.
Not only the wonderful environment but also the traditional dishes and world delicacies attract the people.
The chairman of the National Council of the Russian Association of Youth and Children made entries in the visitor’s book as follows.
“Dear employees of the wonderful restaurant,
“In the name of the National Council of the Russian Association of Youth and Children, I offer thanks to you. Members of my delegation have been struck with admiration after having a taste of your delicacies. We will always remember the taste of Taedonggang Beer. Wishing your business prosperity.”
After the vessel raises its anchor, it makes a round of a section of the river, giving the guests an opportunity to enjoy the view of the historical sites of Taedong Gate and Ryongwang Pavilion, Okryu Restaurant, East Pyongyang Grand Theatre, Central Youth Hall, Changjon Street and Tower of the Juche Idea.
Commissioned in 2013, the restaurant has served many model workers from different fields of the national economy as well as its patrons.
The manager of the restaurant says, “We wish to make the guests more satisfied with wonderful service as they enjoy the picturesque scenery of Pyongyang.”
