The inaugural ceremony of Jonwi Street was held in the capital city of Pyongyang on May 14, 2024.
The respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un took part in the ceremony and cut the inauguration tape before meeting young innovators and highly appreciating their efforts.
Among the innovators were a married couple of the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade.
At the moment of glory they had longed for even in dream, conjugal shock brigaders Song Kum Song and Kang Jin Hui could not repress their surging emotions.
Two years before, Song Kum Song was working at the Central Heat Supply Network Station and Kang Jin Hui at the Songyo Rungnado Garment Factory.
At the news that Kim Jong Un entrusted the young people with the task of building a new street in the Sopho area of Pyongyang and showed a great trust in them in his speech at its groundbreaking ceremony on February 25, 2023, they made up their mind to contribute to supporting his will.
So they volunteered to join the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade on the same day.
Though they lack experience and skills and were unaccustomed to many things, Song Kum Song and Kang Jin Hui worked hard in the construction project with the assistance of the collective and helping and leading each other forward.
Kim Jong Un gave the young builders strength and courage to advance bravely, sending them diaries with the letters "My Youthful Days" and various kinds of foodstuffs and fruit. His love and trust were the motive force that made the construction site of Jonwi Street seethe with the efforts to perform miracles and feats.
In those days of distinguishing themselves as innovators, Song Kum Song and Kang Jin Hui fell in love with each other and got married ten days before the inaugural ceremony of Jonwi Street. Everybody congratulated them in the uniform of shock brigade, not in the wedding clothes.
The couple kept the pride of devoting their pure and beautiful love to the prosperity of the country.
The greater their pride was, the more ardently they wished to meet Kim Jong Un with the report on the completion of Jonwi Street.
Surprisingly, they were honoured to meet him though they had done what they ought to do. They could not repress their emotion, wrapped in great happiness.
Kim Jong Un warmly wished them a happy life with an honourable appellation of permanent conjugal innovators.
His kind blessing represents his great trust and request that encourage Song Kum Song and Kang Jin Hui to always stand in the van of performing feats as conjugal innovators.
