The Ministry of Education has mapped out and is carrying out a plan to implement the tasks facing the education sector in the second half of the year.
A plan has been worked out to help those senior middle schools introducing the elective education course on a trial basis to implement the course according to the 2nd programme of the universal 12-year compulsory education to be enforced in general from the next year.
Undertakings were also reflected in the plan to organize short courses and demonstrations in the provincies, cities and counties, narrow the gap between the capital city and regions and between the cities and rural communities in the educational level by enhancing the role of teachers and guidance teachers of training schools at all levels, build up good ranks of teachers and improve their teaching and practical qualifications and abilities.
Ways are studied to discharge the responsibility and duty of the educational sector in the work for strengthening the educational foundation of the country.
Goals have been set to give guidance and help to the universities playing a big role in solving sci-tech problems of key importance in training talents needed for different sectors and developing the economy of the country and specific plans to hit them are discussed and decided.
