On July 13 the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the construction site of the Ragwon County Offshore Farm at the final stage.
Highly appreciating the efforts of the soldier-builders who were devoting their all to the construction of the modern marine industrial base and modern fishermen’s village, he said that all these successes were another miracle that could be wrought only by the soldier-builders boundlessly loyal to the cause of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
Throughout its history the Korean People’s Army has admirably fulfilled its sacred mission for national defence while performing distinguished feats in the struggle for national security and public safety and welfare.
The metallurgical-industry bases and coal and other mines, which constitute the foundation of the national economy, the railways and roads, which form the artery of the country, and crop fields, irrigation waterways and reclaimed tidelands across the country are all associated with the exploits of the army.
In July last year when heavy flood hit the northwestern area of North Phyongan Province the airmen of the Air Force of the KPA rapidly flew to the flooded areas and managed to rescue over 4 200 isolated lives on a special order of the WPK Central Military Commission.
The officers and men of the KPA have displayed matchless fighting spirit, self-sacrificing spirit and perfect creative spirit in building regional-industry factories in different parts of the country, thus proving the vitality of the Party’s policy of regional development in reality.
Typically, the regional-industry factories built in 20 cities and counties, including Songchon and Jaeryong counties and the city of Kusong, as the first fruits of the Party’s regional development policy for promoting the wellbeing of all the population of the country, modern rural towns built in disaster-stricken areas and the Wihwado Combined Greenhouse Farm that is now under construction as a new entity of regional rejuvenation are all associated with devoted efforts of the soldier-builders of the KPA.
The absolute strength and prestige of the DPRK and the happy life and rosy future of its people are based on the priceless feats and victories they achieved at the cost of their blood, sweat and sacrifice.
The Korean people’s beautiful dreams and ideals are being translated into reality thanks to the KPA which reliably defends the security, wellbeing and eternal development of the state and people.
