August 28, 1927, is a significant day that witnessed the founding of the Young Communist League of Korea and heralded a glorious new history of the Juche-oriented Youth Movement. It is also the Youth Day, a militant holiday for the young people of the DPRK.

Greeting this day, we pay the highest tribute to President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il who set a shining example of paving the most correct path to solving the youth problem which is acknowledged by the world political circles as “incurable disease”. We also take great honour of looking back on the proud course of the Juche-oriented Korean Youth Movement which has vigorously advanced through centuries under the leadership of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un .

War, economic and public health crises are said to be the most serious of crises on this planet. But another grave problem that is as much serious is the youth crisis where the younger generations, who are to be entrusted with the future, become corrupt and degenerated.

It is common practice for many political leaders to only value short-sighted interests and successes. This had led to young people being marginalized and becoming the cause of social trouble. However, the young people in the DPRK are displaying their might as the most powerful main force under the boundless love and trust of the Party and people.

To them, patriotism is the spirit of devotedly defending the leader and safeguarding the socialist fatherland. Their aim in life is to be where they are needed by the Party. Therefore, they willingly volunteer themselves to the sacred battles for defending the fatherland, to coalfields, cultivated fields and large construction sites. Such enthusiasm speaks for itself the noble mind of the young people of our era.

We have a huge army of young people fully prepared to reliably shoulder the present and future of our state. Herein lies the tremendous power of Juche Korea that no other country can possess, and infinite depth of our national capabilities that cannot be measured by any means.

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un is writing a new page in the history of attaching importance to the young people. He brought up the youth to be young vanguards capable of bearing responsibility for both the present and future of the Korean revolution, thus ensuring promising prospects for the Juche revolution. This is one of his greatest exploits.

The DPRK will forever prosper through ages and centuries as it has a huge army of valiant young people who have been taught how to work revolution, how to strive and how to win victory under the care of the peerless great leader respected Comrade Kim Jong Un .
