In the DPRK it serves as the way of advance and development of its own to exert more sincerity to children the worse the conditions become and to take dynamic steps forward towards the future of communism by dint of that love.
It is the steadfast conviction of the DPRK government that great devotion to younger generations leads to national prosperity.
It is evidenced by the fact that an important measure was taken in August last year to bring all the children and students of the flood-stricken families in North Phyongan, Jagang and Ryanggang provinces to the capital city of Pyongyang and provide them with edification and education in a safe and convenient environment and entirely at state expense.
At the time top priority was given to teaching the children from the flood-hit areas together with the reconstruction project. To this end, temporary classrooms were set up at the April 25 Hostel which was built for major state events, full sets of school furniture, uniforms and school things were provided, and a task force that involved teachers from primary and middle schools and preschool institutions in Pyongyang was set in motion.
In recent years, the country has pursued a variety of policies for children and students, such as supplying dairy products and other nutritious foods to all the children, providing quality school uniforms and bags of new types to the students, improving the educational structure of the country in such a way as to give advanced education and updating the teaching contents and methods rationally, and renovating all schools across the country in ten years.
As the country has defined the policies for younger generation as the eternal state policies, children’s cheerful laughter and songs are constantly reverberating across the country.
