To promote the welfare of the rising generations constitutes an eternal state policy in the DPRK.

This can be proved by the policies the Workers’ Party of Korea has adopted in its major meetings since its Eighth Congress in January 2021.

Since its Eighth Congress the Party has held several plenary meetings of its Central Committee to discuss and decide upon the issues for younger generations and taken relevant state measures.

Among them are the Third Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee which adopted the childcare policy of supplying dairy products and other nutritious foods to all the children across the country; the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee which advanced the task of supplying all the students across the country with quality uniforms and bags of new forms; the Fifth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee which put a special stress on the need to have a proper viewpoint on education; the Sixth and Eighth Plenary meetings of the Eighth Party Central Committee which advanced the tasks of modifying the country’s educational structure in such a way as to provide advanced education and of improving teaching contents and methods more reasonably; the Ninth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee which dealt with the issue of displaying a higher sense of responsibility in implementing socialist policies for schoolchildren as an important agenda item; and the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee which stressed that the state should push ahead with the work of supplying school things and educational aids and equipment and renovating all the schools across the country within ten years fully on its responsibility and in real earnest.

Accordingly, the foundations for the production of dairy products have been laid in different parts of the country and a system has been established for the supply of the dairy products and other nutritious foods to children.

The foundations for the production of textbooks, notebooks and other school things have been consolidated and new factories have been built to produce uniforms, bags and shoes for students.

The educational contents and methods for implementing the programme for the universal 12-year compulsory education have been further improved and the work to facelift schools and universities across the country is in full swing.

Besides, the work to narrow down the gap in educational levels between Pyongyang and provinces and between urban and rural areas is going full steam ahead.

Thanks to the meticulous care of the state which regards it as the greatest happiness to go to great lengths to promote welfare of the rising generations even if it costs a huge sum of money, the children of socialist Korea are growing to be the reliable pillars of the country.
