A research group of the Cutting-edge Agrotechnology Company of the Academy of Agricultural Science has built a new production system for white rice as an organic food.
The more society develops and the level of civilization rises, the higher the demand for highly nutritious organic agro-products goes up.
The company identified a high-yielding and high-grade species of rice as the major target of cultivation through intensified research into the production of organic agro-products and selected right soil for organic farming while making a survey of water quality and ecological environment and sampling and analysis of soil condition in the farms in different regions of the country.
In cooperation with the company, those farms increased soil fertility by using little or no chemical fertilizer and agricultural chemicals but instead mainly applying microbial and organic fertilizer and introduced paddy-field fish farming to raise the efficiency of weeding and prevent damage to crops by harmful insects. As a result, they confirmed the rational methods of organically growing agricultural products.
In the course of this, the company established an organic food production process.
Currently, they produce white rice, an organic food that meets nutritional requirements and quality indexes.
These achievements were top-rated at the 37th national sci-tech festival and the advanced science and technology and products exhibition-2024.
