The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un clarified the important policy orientation of the government in his important speech made at the 13th Session of the 14th Supreme People’s Assembly of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

In the speech he stressed the need to strengthen the people-oriented character in state activities and give full play to the unity and creativity peculiar to the Korean people.

The speech comprehensively deals with principled issues on making people-first principle definitely run through the social life as a whole: Not to tarnish the original features of man-centred socialism in any circumstances, but to place man above production and solve one by one the elementary problems arising in promoting the health and convenience of producers, not to tolerate even the slightest manifestation of practices that may be revealed in the course of implementing the policies contrary to the state’s people-oriented character, and to orient all state affairs thoroughly to cementing the single-hearted unity.

He also made it clear: When overcoming the subjective and objective obstacles in the way of our advance or implementing the pressing, essential tasks, we should push ahead with all state affairs by considering first the unrivalled revolutionary spirit of our people and their patriotic loyalty and enlisting their great strength.

In the speech he elucidated strategies and methods for state management and economic growth such as finding proper solutions to the problems arising in putting the overall state affairs in order and improving economic management by relying on our own forces, and making the relevant sectors and units work with a still higher sense of responsibility as dynamic progress is being made in carrying out the tasks for regional development.

He also referred to detailed issues arising in propelling the development of science, education and public health sectors with credit, as well as other tasks and methods facing the DPRK government including steadily updating the socialist legal system and improving the functions and role of law in the realms of state and social life.

His speech serves as a great programme for state building that enables the Korean people to invariably follow the road of socialism and confidently open up a new stage of state development, giving fuller play to their unique heroism, indomitable stamina and staunch fighting spirit.

Today the Korean people are stepping up the advance to achieve the comprehensive prosperity of their country by thoroughly implementing the tasks set forth by him in the speech.
