The Kuryong Falls, 74m in vertical height, 84m long and 4m wide, is located in Outer Kumgang of Mt Kumgang in Kosong County, Kangwon Province. Crystal-clear water is steadily cascading down to make a spectacular scene. Below it there is a pond 13m deep.
The Pagyon Falls, 37m high and 1.5m wide, is found in Pagyon-ri, Kaesong Municipality. Limpid water, which runs down into the ravine and then down a rock wall, flows into Pagyon Pond and continues to fall. It falls faster than other waterfalls and sounds roaring. The surrounding scenery is quite enchanting all year round as azalea, royal azalea, cherry, apricot and wild pear blossoms are in full bloom in spring, strong fragrance comes from magnolia flowers in thick forest in summer and all plant leaves turn scarlet in autumn.
The Ullim Falls, 75m high, is located in Chonnae County, Kangwon Province.
It is called so as the roaring sound of the water falling down the valley travels far and wide. Sourced from the Masikryong Mountains, it gushes out 20-25 cubic metres of water per second from the middle of sharp-cut cliffs.
Its majestic appearance goes very well with the surrounding scenery to the delight of the visitors.
