Large-scale projects for public welfare are under way in the DPRK, producing tangible results.
As one of the typical examples, ceremonies for moving into new house take place one after another recently in various places of the country―urban areas, rural and fishing villages, and remote mountain areas, to say nothing of the capital city of Pyongyang. Such news can be only heard in the Korean socialist system.
The Workers’ Party of Korea has the ideal streets and villages built for the people in the capital city and regional areas and provided to them free of charge, as it regards the selfless and devoted service to them as the mode of its existence.
The plan to build 50 000 flats in Pyongyang, set forth as an important goal of the new five-year plan at the historic Eighth Congress of the WPK, has been steadily carried on every year. As a result, tens of thousands of flats have been built in the last four years.
According to the WPK’s plan to turn all rural villages across the country into socialist paradise, more than 80 000 modern dwelling houses have been built in the countryside in recent three years and the number is growing.
Under the care of the WPK, new streets and houses continue to be created to add delight to the people’s new happy life.
