Impartiality and Objectivity in Human Rights Strongly Advocated

During the 60 th session of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) recently held in Geneva, many countries strongly called for ensuring impartiality and objectivity in human rights, denouncing inhumane unilateral sanctions and double-standard acts of the West.
Many anti-imperialist independent countries including Russia, China, Iran and Venezuela opposed the acts of the West, which deny the system of sovereign state and also the diversity of human rights based on historic tradition and steps of development of each country under the pretext of protection of human rights, and try to force values of specific countries upon others. They described unilateral sanctions of the West as inhumane acts and economic violence, which constitute breach of international law and threat to rights to existence of the peoples of the countries concerned.
Progressive countries against imperialism, through their collective countermeasures including delivery of joint speeches under different names, exerted strong pressure upon the West which abuse human rights as a tool for their ulterior political purposes and the means of justifying their coercive and unilateral sanctions.
Representatives from almost all countries of the world and governmental and non-governmental organizations sharply criticized the double-standard acts of the West which pay no heed to brutal massacre of Israel, unprecedented in the contemporary history, and opposed politicization, selectivity and double-standard in human rights.
This clearly shows that the world does not want that the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other universal, international norms of human rights are abused for geopolitical purposes pursued by the West, leading to violation of genuine dignity and rights of humankind.
