The DPRK Embassy in Beijing hosted a reception on October 25 on the occasion of the 75 th anniversary of the Chinese People’s Volunteers’ joining in the Korean front.
Present there on invitation were Comrade Ling Huanxin, Political Commissar of the Academy of Military Sciences of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, officials of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and other officials concerned.
Present there were Comrade Ri Ryong Nam, DPRK Ambassador to China, and his embassy members.
Speeches were made at the reception.
The speakers paid high tribute to the martyrs and veterans of the Chinese People’s Volunteers who joined in the Korean front and fought shoulder to shoulder with the Korean people. They said that looking back on the history of 75 years ago is of great significance in remembering the forerunners and inheriting their spirit.
They expressed the will to promote the traditional DPRK-China friendship on the road of accomplishing the socialist cause, opposing the imperialists’ aggression and hegemony and defending regional peace and security, international fairness and justice.
On the same day, the DPRK Consulate General in Shenyang of China and its Dandong branch hosted receptions.
