In October the national exhibition of IT successes-2025 was held at the Sci-Tech Complex on the banks of the Taedong River in the capital city of Pyongyang.

Held in both real and virtual formats, the exhibition put on display at least 1 700 pieces of achievements and products presented by more than 510 units in Pyongyang and regions.

The exhibits highlighted the latest achievements made in the efforts to digitize and informatize state governance and economic management.

Software programs such as the integrated management information systems and integrated production systems deployed in many units especially in the sectors of metal, chemistry, light industry, railway transport and fishery, the national integrated power management system that allows for maximized power output and effective use of it, and the integrated water control system for the reservoirs of hydroelectric plants provided a source of confidence in the future of the digital economy.

The integrated production management systems for the Sinpho City Offshore Farm and the Ragwon County Offshore Farm showed off the development of the regional economy thriving along with the new era of the regional rejuvenation, enthralling the visitors.

An eye catcher was the cloud computing system developed by the Artificial Intelligence Faculty of Kim Il Sung University, which would bring about a leapfrog development in the informatization of every economic sector and the promotion of information and communications technology.

The national educational information system developed by the Ministry of Education and the intelligent correction system programmed by Kim Chaek University of Technology fully demonstrated the level of information technology of the country’s educational sector.

The national educational information system embraces thousands of institutions including universities, schools and branch schools across the country. It ensures comprehensive control and management of all human, material and intellectual resources in the educational sector, while supporting the teachers and students in their teaching and learning.

Among the exhibits from the educational sector were various kinds of intelligent robots developed by kindergarteners and primary and middle school students. An official from the Academy of Pedagogical Science said that robot-based education is very effective in helping the students acquire a wealth of knowledge for different subjects in a theoretical way and build their capacity for applying it all together.

During the event, there were a sci-tech presentation and lectures, in which advanced experiences and new technologies were shared and transferred and discussions were held concerning the future goals and solutions. The programming contest was held divided into categories and stages.
