As a highly sterilizing cellular immune activator, selenium helps revive damaged cellular tissues in blood vessels of living organisms and boosts their immune function to the maximum, thus suppressing and killing various kinds of viruses and germs to keep the human body healthy.
For this reason it is called an oasis of human life in the medical circles.
Recently the Munsu branch factory of the Namgang Pharmaceutical Factory has developed selenium-methionine injection whose main ingredients are selenium, an essential microelement, and methionine, an essential amino acid.
According to Jo Kyong Ok, manageress of the branch factory, they developed the injection after years of research. It is remarkably good for resisting oxidation and considerably effective for removing inflammation, raising immunity and curbing the growth of cancer cells by further activating glutathione peroxidase.
She said that it has been proved by the clinical practice that the injection is good for preventing the destruction of hemoglobin and red blood cells and increasing resistance to radiation.
Meanwhile, the factory completed the method to produce an extracted form of ginkgo tree leaves in conformity with the international quality index and, on the basis of this, it developed a ginkgo tree leaf injection for arteriosclerosis that is highly efficacious for treating cardiac and cerebrovascular diseases.
The selenium-methionine injection and the Pyritum bone-activating tablets developed and produced by the branch factory have been patented at home. Over 50 kinds of its medicines including ginkgo tree leaf cardiac injection, chonsal injection, leech thrombotic injection and energy-giving injection were highly appreciated at the National Exhibition of Sci-tech Achievements in the Field of Public Health-2025 and other exhibitions.
