In 2025, too, the DPRK made steady efforts to ramp up its national defence capabilities and safeguard the security of the nation and people and the peaceful environment of socialist construction.
The Korean People’s Army conducted a series of drills such as the joint striking drill of long-range artillery and missile systems of its sub-units on the eastern front, the combined tactical drill of different arms under training course of the conference of training officers and the firing drill of the artillery sub-units of the large combined units, thus consolidating its full-scale war capabilities.
Successes have also been achieved in the defence industry sector.
The country launched destroyers of the KPA Navy with splendid ceremonies in April and June last year. The events evidently demonstrated its steadfast resolve and will to firmly defend national sovereignty, territorial integrity and security interests by rapidly developing its Navy into a powerful service in charge of part of the state nuclear deterrent.
Another significant event was the military hardware exhibition Defence Development-2025. The venue was full of latest defence assets, ensembles of the Juche-oriented defence sci-tech force, including ultra-modern weapon systems that were developed as the pivotal military hardware of the armed forces of the country. The exhibition served as a significant occasion that heralded the changes of the armed forces of the DPRK which will grow stronger along with the eye-opening advance and development of the revolution in the defence industry in the new era.
Thanks to the guidance of the Workers’ Party of Korea which regards the policy of self-reliant defence as the mainstay of defending and developing the revolution and ushers in a new era of bolstering up the national defence capability, the country’s defence capability is steadily being bolstered up along the upward track of its development.
