As the New Year begins, various sectors of the national economy of the DPRK have registered high production records.
The Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex, the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex and the Chollima Steel Complex are scaling up their production after their first successful tapping, while the Musan Mine Complex is also increasing production.
The Namhung Youth Chemical Complex and the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex are producing large amounts of fertilizer every day, keeping the production processes in close coordination.
The Pukchang Thermal Power Complex and the Pyongyang Thermal Power Station are carrying out their electricity production plan by increasing the per-generator output, while the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station is boosting the power output per ton of water.
The coal producers across the country including the Pukchang Area Youth Coal-mining Complex, the Sunchon Area Youth Coal-mining Complex and the Tokchon Area Coal-mining Complex are making collective innovations from the outset of the year.
The railway transport sector worked out a rational transport plan, and on the basis of this, has produced high transport results every day by ensuring the timely formation and distribution of freight cars and making effective use of the current capacity.
The workers of the Sangwon Cement Complex ensure normal operation of kilns and other equipment, while the Kujang Cement Factory successfully conducted a 100 000-cubic-metre blasting to lay a foundation for growing cement production.
The Pyongyang General Electric Cable Factory 326 is bringing about innovations in the production of various kinds of electric wires, while the workers of the forestry sector have so far produced a large amount of timber in hilly regions.
