At the end of last year the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un met the labour innovators and meritorious persons who were invited to the events to commemorate the Constitution Day (December 27) of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and celebrate the new year 2026 and had a photo session with them. And he invited all of them to a celebratory banquet.
They were ordinary persons such as Kwak Chol U, a worker at the Pyongyang Thermal Power Station who had contributed to power generation for scores of years, Won In Gyu, the leader of workteam No. 6 of the Saul Farm in the city of Hoeryong, North Hamgyong Province who reaped good harvests and Kim Son Gwang, a repairman at the Munphyong Smeltery.
They said that the country put them forward as the representatives of the working people only because they had just unassumingly devoted their sweat and efforts at their workplaces and that as they had the honour of attending those events, they felt more keenly that their Party, country and system are all for working people.
Attending the new year banquet given in honour of labour innovators and meritorious persons, Kim Jong Un said: Our labour innovators and meritorious persons are possessed of excellent qualities and mettle of the Korean people, the strongest, most assiduous and most resourceful in the world. There are many labour innovators and meritorious persons like them in the country and this is the most important secret and pride that make our Party, our state and our system always strong and steadily developing.
The attendees and all other Korean people are firmly determined to work devotedly for the good of their benevolent socialist country, where the people are regarded as God and their feats are adorned with the highest honour.
