The entire Party, all the people and the whole army are accelerating their revolutionary advance towards the historic Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea that will provide an epochal landmark in further boosting the great driving force for strengthening the WPK and achieving the comprehensive rejuvenation of the socialist state.

Preparations are being pushed forward to successfully hold the Party Congress to keep abreast of ever-soaring political awareness and fighting enthusiasm of millions of Party members and other people, service personnel and young vanguard across the country to enter the venue of the glorious Party Congress with proud labour achievements.

General meetings (conferences) of the basic organizations of the WPK were held amid the extraordinary political awareness and enthusiasm of the Party members.

Then, the conferences of the city and county Party organizations took place.

The conferences attended by the members of the relevant city and county Party guidance organs and the representatives elected at the general meetings (conferences) of the basic Party organizations analyzed and reviewed in an all-round way the work of the city and county Party committees for implementing the decisions of the Eighth Congress of the WPK and the important tasks set forth at the major Party meetings in the period under review. The conferences put their main emphasis on finding the practical ways for improving the future work of the city and county Party organizations, political staffs of the relevant regions.

The reporters said that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un clarified the five-point line of Party building in the new era and other revolutionary lines and policies of the new era, arranged workshops of the chief secretaries of the city and county Party committees for the first time in the history of the WPK and provided important guidelines for the city and county Party committees to successfully discharge their mission.

They stressed that the fighting efficiency of the city and county Party organizations has been greatly enhanced under the wise leadership of the Party Central Committee to effect remarkable progress in the drive for strengthening the whole Party.

The reports said that the key to attaining goals lies in the efforts of the city and county Party committees to thoroughly transform all the revolutionary positions in the relevant areas in line with the demands of the three revolutions while giving definite precedence to the political work for giving full play to the inexhaustible spiritual strength of the masses under the uplifted banner of the three revolutions, the general line of the WPK.

The reports seriously analyzed and reviewed the shortcomings revealed and lessons gained in the period under review.

At the conferences there took place the elections of the leadership bodies of the city and county Party committees and elections of representatives to be sent to the conferences of the provincial Party organizations.

Party members who can fully play the core and vanguard role in implementing the Party’s policies in the relevant areas were elected representatives to the conferences of the provincial Party organizations.

The preparatory committee for the Party Congress is ensuring that the conferences of the provincial Party organizations can be successfully held now that the general meetings of the basic Party organizations and the conferences of the city and county Party organizations ended. And it is guiding the work for the Party organizations at all levels to conduct in an innovative way the organizational and political work so as to make sure that the high fighting spirit being displayed by all the Party members and other people, service personnel and youth result in the brilliant fruition in the run-up to the Party Congress.
