Military-civilian meetings took place in South Phyongan, North Hwanghae, Jagang, South Hamgyong and Ryanggang provinces and Rason Municipality on March 4 to vow to implement the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
Present there were officials of institutions and industrial establishments, working people, service personnel, youth and students.
Speakers said that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un clarified the long-term plans and action programme for further strengthening the overall might of the state and putting the Korean-style socialist construction on an orbit of assured development at the Ninth Congress of the WPK.
They said that the long-term plans and tasks put forward at the Congress serve as an inspiring banner instilling into all the Party members and other working people the confidence, optimism, patriotic enthusiasm and stamina to bring about fresh miracles and innovations on all fronts of the revolution and construction.
They stressed that a decisive guarantee of steadily advancing to attaining a far-reaching ideal in the face of challenges and trials lies in thoroughly meeting the five-point requirements of the era of comprehensive development, made by the Party Central Committee, under the uplifted banner of the three revolutions—ideological, technological and cultural—the general line of the WPK.
They noted that everyone should carry out the tasks incomparably enormous to those of the past five years only by dint of their wisdom and efforts, and their victory can be won only with the complete unity of action and the indomitable revolutionary spirit of steadily creating new things and making innovations.
They called upon all the people to redouble their patriotic enthusiasm and fighting spirit and more dynamically struggle for the brilliant implementation of the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the WPK and the prosperity and development of the glorious DPRK.
Letters of pledge to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the meetings.
Then followed public processions.
The marchers passed through the squares and streets, shouting revolutionary slogans.
