The State Hydro-meteorological Administration has released a road version of the weather information app Nalssi .
This system informs the drivers in real time of the changes on the road surface by adverse weather patterns and the changes of weather conditions so that they can timely cope with them while in driving.
The app is largely divided into the modes of data reading and driving support.
The data reading mode helps drivers scientifically choose the date and time to travel in advance, by reading the data on road surface conditions by section, weather conditions on risky sections and possible changes.
The driving support mode allows the users to keep abreast of the road conditions while in travel as they read and hear about the vagaries of the weather and notices sent by the State Hydro-meteorological Administration.
In addition, the app offers some functions of reading a map of roads and landform and things nearby and inputting information about a certain position.
The AI-powered app can be activated also by voice, so that drivers can operate at ease.
At present, the road weather service system is available for the Pyongyang-Wonsan tourist road.
Measures are taken to apply the system to the other major roads across the country and improve the level of its operation.
