One July day in 2018, the respected GeneralSecretary Kim Jong Un visited theKangwon Provincial Tree Nursery, despite the midsummer heat.
Officials of the tree nursery felt deepemotion as the General Secretary continued his field guidance even in hotmidsummer when unprecedentedly high temperature persisted.
But as if he had forgotten all hispainstaking efforts, the General Secretary looked around the nursery with greatsatisfaction.
That day he said that as he hadpreviously emphasized, the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance andself-sufficiency is the driving force enabling them to develop most rapidly andtheir most valuable treasure and resource, adding that they should build aprosperous socialist power on this land by displaying the revolutionary spiritof self-reliance under the slogan of self-sufficiency like the officials, Partymembers and other working people of Kangwon Province.
His words were the meaningful ones teachingthem the iron truth that displaying the revolutionary spirit of self-relianceis the way for the country to prosper and for its people to survive.
