The drive for establishing saving-oriented production lines goes full steam ahead in the chemical industry bases in the DPRK.
The Ministry of Chemical Industry, based on detailed phased plans for setting up the saving-oriented production system, makes efforts to take measures for providing necessary conditions to relevant units.
It makes sure that industrial establishments under its control carry on the work to replace or technically upgrade over-capacity equipment and imperfect electric machines according to their capacities, reduce the consumption of raw materials by recycling exhaust gas and other waste and rebuild the lines with large power consumption which require much labour for repair into saving-oriented ones by positively introducing advanced technologies.
The February 8 Vinalon Complex has replaced contactors inbuilt in all production lines with electricity-saving ones and is now promoting the technical upgrading of waste heat recovery process in boilers and the repair and maintenance of water-cooling tower. It also makes efforts to adjust and improve the exhaust gas recycle device in aldehyde process so as to markedly reduce the consumption of raw materials as against the previous period and increase the production capacity of caustic soda.
The Hungnam Fertilizer Complex has established afresh the lines of reclaiming coal and hydrogen and set up a floating water-filter device in the water electrolysis process and an oxygen recycling process in the gas generating system. It uses raw materials abundant in the country for a desulfurizer in the gasification process.
