Rodong Sinmun says that the heroic people of the DPRK, who successfully implemented the second half of the five-year plan with firm trust in their cause and strength and indomitable mental power, has made big stride for Juche 113 (2024) with great pride and self-esteem.
The historic report and important conclusion, made by the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un at the 9th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), instill fresh fighting spirit, enthusiasm and conviction in a bright future into all the people of the country aspiring to the dynamic advance toward greater victory, the paper says, and goes on:
It is the steadfast will of all the people out at the starting line of new advance to glorify this year as a year decisive in providing a clear practical guarantee for the fulfillment of the five-year plan with redoubled confidence and courage and high patriotic enthusiasm and fighting spirit.
At the historic 9th Plenary Meeting of the 8th WPK Central Committee, the General Secretary scientifically analyzed and reviewed the experience and lessons in last year's struggle and indicated the orientation of this year's struggle.
It is the disposition and fighting mode peculiar to the Korean people to win a greater victory from victory.
The might of the people full of optimism in the future and the spirit of self-support is irresistible, and no one can check their dynamic advance.

Minju Joson calls for performing fresh miracles and feats on all fronts of socialist construction with confidence in sure victory, saying that the glory of 2023, in which all the people achieved unprecedented precious victory and successes in their dynamic and patriotic advance to realize the grand ideal and goal, united close around Kim Jong Un, will be more brilliantly carried forward in 2024.
